(We will be using Procreate for iPad which is available for download on Apple’s App Store)

(Classes will be recorded and available to you the day after each class in case you can’t attend the zoom class. As well, all videos are available for 4 weeks after the final class)

About the workshop:

Using Procreate on the iPad, students will learn how a digital sketchbook can help the traditional artist generate multiple ideas quickly and even explore digital as an entirely new medium for your art practice.

This workshop goes over, in detail, the Procreate interface and tools that make Procreate on the iPad feel like a traditional sketchbook but with added flexibility. Students will learn how easy and fun it is to add a digital sketchbook to the art making process.

Things you will learn:

• Get comfortable with the Procreate interface

• Custom gestures to speed up painting and drawing

• How to import and export images

• Explore Procreate brushes and how to customize and make brushes

• Paint, smudge and erase tools

• The power of layers and masks

• Digital paint over techniques. Take your traditional painting into Procreate for a makeover!

• Generating colour thumbnails for traditional painting or final digital paintings

• How to make your paintings look like less digital

• And much more…

Things you get:

• My Procreate Brushes (cool brushes I use!)

• Paper Textures to use as backgrounds

• Access to the videos for 4 weeks after the final class

• iPad, compatible with Apple Pencil

• Procreate (available on App Store)
